CTOnews.com May 11 news, ASRock Technology today released a new version of AMD AM5 motherboard BIOS to support a single 24GB / 48GB DDR5 memory module.

The new version of BIOS uses the core version of AMD AGESA PI1007. ASRock's AMD AM5 motherboard, including X670E / B650E / B650 / A620 products, can benefit from this BIOS update. The motherboard with 4 memory slots can support up to 192GB capacity, and the motherboard with 2 slots supports the highest 96GB capacity.

In addition to supporting large memory capacity, the AMD AGESA PI1007 core version also updates the processor voltage protection mechanism. ASRock AM5 motherboard users are advised to update the motherboard to BIOS version 1.24 or higher as soon as possible.
