CTOnews.com, May 11 (Xinhua) Kingston introduced lyrics from Coldplay's song "The Scientist" in its NVMe SSD firmware update released in 2020.

Security researcher Nicholas Stark (Nicholas Stark) discovered this strange thing after digging for firmware updates in Kingston.

The firmware version with lyrics is "SKC2000M8_S2681103" and is suitable for KC2000 NVMe SSD. CTOnews.com checked Kingston's website and found that the firmware update was released on January 14, 2020.

According to the screenshot of the excavated BIN file, you can clearly see the lyrics of "The Scientist" on the right. It is not clear why Kingston embedded the lyrics in the firmware, but there was no official response. The "The Scientist" MV is as follows:
