CTOnews.com May 11, Google launched the AI programming robot Studio Bot for Android developers at the I / O 2023 developer conference. The tool generates code, fixes BUG, and answers questions about Android application development.

Google says the robot is based on a Codey model. Codey is Google's latest basic programming model, based on the latest PaLM2 large language model (LLM).

Studio Bot supports both Kotlin and Java programming languages and will be embedded directly into the toolbars of Android Studio development tools.

Google said Studio Bot will not collect developers' code, but will collect data on conversations between developers and Studio Bot. Google said the robot was still at a "very early stage", but it would continue to train it to improve its answers.

CTOnews.com note: Google says it is currently available to developers in the United States only through the Canary channel, and there is no word on when it will be launched globally.
