Both machines will use Intel's 13th-generation mobile processors to provide battery life comparable to Apple's M-Series MacBook.

CTOnews.com found that the Surface Laptop 6 series specification sheet has been uploaded to the Laptop Root website. let's first take a look at the display. Microsoft will continue to use its PixelSense Display technology, which has a 2256 x 1504 resolution for the 13.5in model and 2496 x 1664 for the larger 15-inch model. Both panels will be protected by gorilla glass 5 (except for the 13.5-inch version with Alcantara palmrest, which will use gorilla glass 3) and will support 10:00 touch. The display supports sRGB color profiles and has a contrast of 1300 1.

The processors are Intel Core i5-1335U and Core i7-1355U Surface Laptop 6, which are available in 13.5-inch versions, while the 15-inch model can only be equipped with Core i7-1355U. Both chips are 10 cores with two performance cores and eight energy-saving cores. In addition, neither model has a separate graphics card, but the included Thunderbolt 4 port allows you to connect to an external eGPU.

Memory is available with 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB options, based on LPDDR5X, but cannot be upgraded. Only the SSD can be replaced with a larger capacity, ranging from the 256GB to the 512GB 1TB 15-inch model on the 13.5-inch model. Judging from the early disassembly videos, Microsoft may have adopted non-standard PCIe NVMe SSD.

The specification shows that the 13.5in Surface Laptop 6 lasts an hour longer than the 15-inch model and can run for 21 hours in typical use, while the 15-inch model can run for 20 hours, which is comparable to the battery life of Apple's M-Series MacBook on paper.

In terms of ports, in addition to a USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port, there are two USB-A 3.1ports, a 3.5mm audio Jack and a Surface Connect port. As for appearance, the 13.5in model includes platinum with Alcantara palmrest, matte black with metal palmrest, emerald brown with metal palmrest and sandstone with metal palmrest. The 15-inch model has fewer colors and is available in platinum and matte black with metal palmrest.

There is no information on the price of the new phone, but don't expect it to be affordable.
