CTOnews.com May 10, according to the latest report released by TrendForce Group Consulting, DRAM and NAND prices are expected to continue to decline in the second quarter of 2023 due to factors such as lower-than-expected server shipments and persistent inventory pressure.

The estimated decline in DRAM prices widened to 13% / 18% in terms of PC DRAM, mainly due to sufficient DDR4 memory inventory and relatively tight DDR5 supply, and the expected decline widened to 15% / 20% in the second quarter.

In terms of server DRAM, due to the continued decline in server demand, the estimated decline also widened to 15% to 20% in the second quarter.

In terms of mobile DRAM, demand has been boosted as the inventory of smartphones has come to an end. However, the inventory pressure of suppliers is still high, and the estimated decline has widened to 13% to 18%.

The expected decline in NAND extended to 8%~13%UFS, and the memory inventory correction of smartphone brands came to an end. Although the momentum of pulling goods is higher than last year, the inventory pressure of suppliers is still high, so the willingness to promote profits is also on the rise.
