This is the intelligent upgrade version of China's first intercity metro train CRH6, adhering to the characteristics of "quick start and quick stop, fast ride and landing, large passenger capacity, safe and reliable", integrated with the advanced design concept of Fuxing, and built with emerging intelligent technologies such as 5G, big data, cloud computing and so on. The advent of it marks a new "upgraded version" of intercity trains in China.

Compared with the existing trains, the new intercity intelligent trains are smarter, more energy-efficient, more economical and more comfortable to ride. The per capita energy consumption of 100 kilometers is reduced by more than 15%, and the maintenance cost of life cycle maintenance is reduced by more than 30%.

According to CCTV, this new set of intercity intelligent trains uses "cool techs" such as intelligent driving assistance and digital twins for the first time in the domestic field, carrying more than 30 intelligent configurations to realize the intellectualization of driving, service, operation and maintenance scenes.

According to public data, in 2012, CRRC Sifang Co., Ltd. combined the technical advantages of high-speed EMU and subway vehicles to develop China's first intercity urban train CRH6, named "Intercity Star" CINOVA.

For more than ten years, CINOVA intercity trains have been put into passenger service in more than 40 prefecture-level cities across the country. As far as CTOnews.com knows, CINOVA has reached more than 95% of the market share, and has even become the "standard" of intercity railways in China.

Compared with the first inter-city urban train, this "upgraded" intelligent train uses a "contactless" intelligent toilet for the first time, with automatic sensing for door opening and closing, hand washing, paper collection, flushing, seat replacement and other operations without contact. The handrails in the car use nanomaterials with bacteriostatic function to effectively block the spread of bacteria. The air conditioning system has the function of air purification, which can deal with harmful substances in the air, such as PM2.5 and bacteria, and improve the air quality in the car.

It is worth mentioning that the new intelligent train adopts the concept of low-carbon design and integrates advanced technology to create a "low-carbon train".
