CTOnews.com May 8, GM recently filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), disclosing GM Chairman and CEO Mary Bora's total compensation of nearly $29 million in 2022. (CTOnews.com Note: current about 200 million yuan). The document also shows that GM set a new record in terms of profit before interest and tax and total global revenue last year.

Marie Bora's salary in 2022 includes the following components: salary remains unchanged at $2.1 million (about 14.52 million yuan); options award increased by 24% to $4.9 million (about 33.89 million yuan) Non-option incentive compensation fell 18% to $6.3 million (about 43.57 million yuan), and stock awards accounted for the bulk of her personal salary, at $14.6 million (about 101 million yuan). Overall, Mary Bora's salary in 2022 was 0.5% lower than in 2021.

It is reported that Mary Bora has become the highest-paid executive of the three traditional automakers in the United States (Ford, General Motors and Stellantis Group) for eight consecutive years. In 2022 alone, her total compensation exceeded the $25.6 million (177 million yuan) of Tang Weishi, CEO of the Stellantis Group, and the $21 million (145 million yuan) of Jim Farley, CEO of Ford.

CTOnews.com noted that executives of some domestic auto companies are also paid handsomely. According to the recent annual reports of some domestic car companies, the executive compensation of ideal, zero run and Geely is in the forefront. For example, Shen Yanan, the president who resigned from ideal last year, earns as much as 20.87 million yuan, while Li tie, the company's CFO, earns as much as 100 million yuan.
