Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com May 8 news that Intel's 14th-generation Core Meteor Lake-S desktop processor support has been added to the upcoming Linux 6.3 kernel as part of a patch.
A patch on May 6th showed that Linux 6.3 added support for Meteor Lake-S SPI serial flash memory, as well as the Meteor Lake-S PCI ID list in the list of drivers that support devices.
The news seems to refute previous revelations that Intel has cancelled its 14th-generation Meteor Lake-S desktop series.
In other words, according to current revelations, the Meteor Lake-S desktop CPU will include the highest Core i5 model and 35-65W TDP, along with higher-end Arrow Lake-S processors (maximum Core i9 and 125W TDP), both of which will support the new 800W chipset.
▲ image source SquashBionic as previously reported by CTOnews.com, Meteor Lake will be mass-produced using Intel 4 process nodes, and its transistor density (transistor-density) and performance per watt (performance / Watt) claim to be comparable to TSMC's N5 and N4 series nodes.
In addition, the 14th generation of Meteor Lake mobile processors is expected to be renamed to the new Core Ultra series.
