Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com May 8, Xiaomi's Poco brand's latest flagship mobile phone, the Poco F5, will be launched worldwide on May 9, but the new series has been announced in advance on Xiaomi's UAE website, including the specifications and appearance of the Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro models. The only thing that has not been announced is the price, which may not be announced until tomorrow's press conference.
The Poco F5 Pro is a high-end phone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1 chip and three memory combinations are available. The machine is essentially a renamed version of the Redmi K60 launched by Xiaomi in China, but with Google services and slightly reduced battery capacity, it can be counted as a brand new device.
The Poco F5 Pro has a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels and a pixel density of 526ppi, the highest of any Poco phone. The screen also supports the refresh rate of 120Hz and the touch sampling rate of 480Hz. There is also a fingerprint reader at the bottom of the screen, and the surface is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
There are three cameras behind the machine, each of which is the main camera with 6400 megapixels, using an Omnivision OV64B sensor, f / 1.8 aperture and 6p lens, an 8 megapixel ultra wide-angle camera with a 120-degree viewing angle and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The camera supports optical and electronic anti-shake, which is not common in Poco phones and is more attractive to users who like to take pictures. The front camera is 1600 megapixels, placed in the center of the screen punched, and supports up to 1080p video recording.
The new machine uses a 5000 square millimeter LiquidCool VC cooling system, a mixture of stainless steel vacuum cavity soaking plate and graphite layer, which can improve thermal conductivity by 15 percent compared with previous Poco F series phones.
The Poco F5 Pro has a battery capacity of 5160 Ma, which is lower than the 5500 Ma of the Redmi K60, but maintains a 67 W wired fast charge and a 30 W wireless fast charge. The operating system is MIUI 14 based on Android 13.
The Poco F5 Pro is available in the United Arab Emirates in white and black, with carbon fiber-like design elements on the back, and memory and storage space are available in 8amp 256 GB, 12 amp 256 GB or 12 amp 512 GB.
The Poco F5 is a mid-range phone that uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 + Gen 2 chip with 256 GB of storage, while the RAM has a choice of 8 GB or 12 GB. The screen of the Poco F5 is still 6.67in AMOLED, and the refresh rate is the same as that of the F5 Pro, but the resolution is only 1080p. The rear camera is also a combination of 6400 megapixels + 8 megapixels + 2 megapixels, but the Omnivision sensor is not mentioned, indicating that the main camera may be weaker than the Pro version. However, the phone also retains optical and electronic anti-shake, and the front-facing camera also has 1600 megapixels.
The phone features a lightweight design, which Poco claims weighs only 181g and is 7.9mm thick. The Poco F5 supports a fast charge of 67W when the battery capacity is 5000 Ma. Other features include MIUI 14 based on Android 13, NFC, infrared emitter, NFC and Bluetooth 5.3. These specifications look familiar because the phone is essentially a renamed Redmi Note 12 Turbo.
According to Xiaomi's official website of the United Arab Emirates, the phone is available in black, blue and white, with white as the main color, using "two-color gradient offset printing" technology to imitate the style of frost.
The global launch of the Poco F5 series tomorrow will reveal more details and price information, and CTOnews.com will keep an eye on it.
