CTOnews.com, May 8 (Xinhua)-- according to the official account of TechInsights Wechat, the latest TechInsights research shows that smartphone shipments in Q1 China fell 13% year on year (YoY) in 2023. (CTOnews.com Note: 12.1% month-on-month decline in the report). This is the fifth consecutive quarter of double-digit declines in the Chinese market. But the situation is improving and the market is expected to stabilize in the coming quarters.

OPPO / OnePlus topped the list with 20 per cent of the smartphone market in China in the quarter, followed by vivo (18 per cent), Apple (17 per cent), Glory (17 per cent) and Xiaomi (14 per cent). The top five manufacturers contributed 86% of China's smartphone market share in 2023.

Specifically, OPPO Q1 shipments are 12.5 million units, down 8.1% year on year, down 20.0% year-on-year, 11.5 million units in vivo, down 11.5% year on year, share 18.4%; iPhone shipments of 10.8 million units, down 3.9% year-on-year, share 17.2% Glory shipped 10.5 million mobile phones, down 22.2% from the same period last year, with a share of 16.8%. Xiaomi shipped 8.5 million mobile phones, down 22.7% from the same period last year, with a share of 13.6%.
