CTOnews.com, May 8, according to sammobile, Google has relied on Samsung to design and manufacture Tensor chips for the past two generations of products. There are rumors that Google may continue to work with South Korean partners to produce two more generations of Tensor processors.

According to some early reports, the Google Tensor G3 chip will be designed in cooperation with Samsung System LSI arm and manufactured using Samsung 4nm process. Some new sources say that starting with the Tensor G4, Google can design its chips entirely in-house and make them using TSMC's 4nm process. For the Tensor G5, Google can use TSMC's 3nm process to manufacture.

However, there are also reports that although Google wants to switch to TSMC 4nm process for Tensor G4, the cost is too high for Pixel, so Google will eventually switch to Samsung foundry, but the revelation does not specify what process Tensor G4 will use (Samsung has previously launched 3nm GAA process).

Revegnus revealed that the Tensor G3 chip will adopt a "1-4-4" nine-core design, with the following information attached to CTOnews.com:

1 Cortex-X3 core of 3.30GHz

4 Cortex-A715 cores for 2.60GHz

4 Cortex-A510 cores for 2.20GHz-2.30GHz
