CTOnews.com reported on May 8 that Dongfeng Import and Export Company exported 15945 cars from January to April, an increase of 108 percent over the same period last year. Exports in April were 3807 vehicles, an increase of 95 per cent over the same period last year.

From the perspective of brand:

Fengshen brand exported 4459 vehicles from January to April, an increase of 444% over the same period last year.

Dongfeng exported 3693 commercial vehicles from January to April, an increase of 169% over the same period last year.

Lantu brand exports 1554 vehicles from January to April.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Dongfeng Motor announced first-quarter results, with operating income of 2.637 billion yuan, down 26.49 percent from the same period last year; net profit of shareholders belonging to listed companies was 95.63 million yuan, down 19.41 percent from the same period last year; net profit after deducting non-recurring profits and losses was 47.78 million yuan, down 51.41 percent from the same period last year; and basic earnings per share was 0.0478 yuan, down 19.39 percent from the same period last year.

At the Shanghai auto show in April, Dongfeng Fengshen launched the 1258 "e-Kai" project and launched a new electric series brand e π, which aims to achieve 100% electrification by 2024 and sell 500000 units in the whole department by 2025. Starting from 2024, at least two new energy models will be launched every year, and at least eight products will be launched within three years to achieve full coverage of full-category and full-size new energy products.
