The venue of the 2023 mid-season championship was announced and the competition system was upgraded.

The 2023 Mid-season Championship will be held in London! Thirteen teams from all over the world will compete together for the championship in the mid-season. We will also adopt a new competition system to make the game more intense.

The scale of this year's mid-season championship has expanded, from 11 teams to 13, and will include two rounds of double-defeat knockout rounds: the qualifying round and the winning and losing group round.

There will be eight teams participating in the qualifying stage: the second seed team of LEC, LCS and LPL, and the first seed team of LLA, CBLOL, PCS, VCS and LJL.

In 2023, the LCK Division will be the champion of the global finals, and its No. 2 seed team will directly enter the winning and losing division.

The eight teams will be divided into two groups, each consisting of four teams. The knockout stage of BO3 double defeat was held in the group.

The two winning teams of the loser group will compete for the final qualification, and the winner will advance to the group stage with the two winning teams and rendezvous with the five finalists.

In the winning and losing group stage, eight teams will play the knockout stage of the BO5 double defeat. The teams include three teams from the qualifying round, as well as the first seed from LEC, LCS, LPL, LCK and the second seed from LCK.

Through the mid-season championship, fans can assess the relative strength of teams and divisions halfway through the season.
