CTOnews.com May 8, there has been news that Apple's iPhone 15 Pro models will have solid-state buttons, but well-known Apple analyst Guo Mingyi tweeted in April that Apple had cancelled the solid-state button design in this year's iPhone and returned to the original physical button design due to "unresolved technical problems."

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman also mentioned the news in its latest Power On newsletter. Although the iPhone 15 Pro engineering machines do come with new buttons, they have been "scrapped" from the mass production version.

He pointed out that "manufacturing complexity, higher associated costs and software integration problems" are the main causes of delays. Gurman claims that this feature is destined to be adopted next year, probably iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

For now, Apple's iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will have a narrower frame, titanium body, more rounded edges, a new 3nm A17 processor, and a USB-C interface.

In addition, Gurman also mentioned the issue of low-cost iPhone that everyone is concerned about. Commenting on Apple's results, he pointed out that the Indian market has become a vital part of Apple. But in fact, Apple's iPhone is more expensive in India than in the United States.

He believes that while Apple may never launch a new iPhone that costs less than $300 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 2073 yuan), it can sell its old SE model as a cost-effective replacement, and he suggested that Apple reduce the previous version to $199 (currently about 1375 yuan).
