According to the previously predicted launch window, the Tianzhou-6 cargo spacecraft may launch on the afternoon of May 10 to deliver 70 kilograms of fruit "express delivery" to China's space station. This will be the first mission for the Chinese space station since it has entered the stage of application and development. After liftoff, the spacecraft will adopt rapid rendezvous and docking mode to dock at the rear port of the "Tianhe" core module.

At present, the Chinese space station has been completed in an all-round way, and the "three-step" development strategy of China's manned space project has become a reality. The space station assembly is operating steadily in orbit, and the Shenzhou 15 astronauts are in good condition and plan to return to the ground in June this year.

Starting from "Tianzhou 6", the "Tianzhou" series of spaceships have entered a new stage of mass production, and six spacecraft from "Tianzhou 6" to "Tianzhou 11" have been arranged for development and production. At this stage, the "Tianzhou" spacecraft has carried out a system upgrade, made great improvements to the cargo cabin, greatly enhanced the cargo transport capacity of the sealed cabin, and the materials provided to the astronauts will be able to support for a longer time. Compared with previous batches, the Tianzhou-6 spacecraft has increased the volume of the sealed cabin by about 500 kg, which will increase from 6.9 tons of the previous Tianzhou-5 to about 7.4 tons. Based on the increase in capacity, the launch density of the space station mission "Tianzhou" cargo spacecraft has been adjusted from 2 times / 1 year to 3 times / 2 years.

The types of goods transported mainly include clothing, food, drinking water, and so on, of which the weight of fresh fruit is about 70 kilograms, which is about twice the weight of the fruit carried by Tianzhou 5. These fruits will also ensure the food needs of the Shenzhou 15 and Shenzhou 16 astronauts.

Data show that the Tianzhou-6 cargo ship is 10.6 meters long and weighs 13.5 tons. It is composed of two parts, the lower part is the propulsion module and the upper part is the cargo cabin, with a carrying capacity of 7.4 tons, which is one of the most powerful cargo ships in the world.
