Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen OC_Formula for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com May 7 news, the source @ Bionic_squash said that Intel Arrow Lake's iGPU is based on an improved version of the Xe-LPG architecture-Xe-LPG+, rather than the previously revealed Xe ²- LPG, but the new iGPU will indeed be equipped with a new generation of media engine.

Intel engineers have previously leaked a roadmap indicating that iGPU in both Meteor Lake and Lunar Lake will adopt a similar Xe-LPG architecture.

Xe-Alchemist GPU

Xe2-Battlemage GPU

Xe3-Celetistal GPU

According to previous reports from CTOnews.com, the Meteor Lake that Intel plans to launch later this year will adopt Xe-LPG architecture and will be built based on TSMC's 5nm process, with the highest 128EU, frequency up to 2.1GHz, computing performance exceeding 4 TFLOPs, and support for DirectX 12 Ultimate and XeSS technology.

In addition, this series of processors will have a new Adamantine L4 cache, which will greatly improve kernel performance, even close to RTX 3050 in theory, but it may be very difficult in practice. In contrast, Arrow Lake may rise to 192 EU, which is expected to bring some improvements in graphics.

As a follow-on to Xe Alchemist iGPU, if it evolves normally, the 15th-generation Core Lunar Lake may be the first to adopt Battlemage GPU based on the Xe2 LPG architecture, while Xe3 LPG on the 16th-generation Core Panther Lake is expected to adopt a new Celestial GPU.

Of course, these follow-up products may not be released for several years, so let's take a look at how the first generation of Xe GPU in Meteor Lake and Lunar Lake performs, and hope it doesn't disappoint.
