China Mobile said that in order to solve the problems of difficult real-time alignment of satellite antennas, large communication delay and large link attenuation, China Mobile comprehensively applied a number of key technologies, such as two-dimensional electric scanning accurate satellite phased array antenna, GTP / TCP joint acceleration, automatic adjustment of user rate on demand and priority guarantee, and adopted Asia-Pacific 6D high-throughput satellite to open up the channel between the base station and the core network. Various services such as voice, SMS and media data based on "satellite + base station" were successfully opened, and the end-to-end transmission rates of downlink 50Mbps and uplink 14Mbps (CTOnews.com remark: downlink 6.25 MB/s, uplink 1.75 MB/s) were achieved.

According to China Mobile, the two-dimensional electric scanning phased array antenna can realize the fast alignment of the extremely narrow satellite signal beam when both the satellite and the ground terminal station are moving rapidly, and solve the problem of "satellite-ground" real-time tracking. It is not only a necessary equipment for large-scale application of broadband satellite Internet, but also an important attack point for commercial Leo satellites at present. GTP / TCP joint acceleration technology can penetrate GTP tunnel, solve the impact of high delay of satellite channel on TCP service, and enhance user experience.

In this test, the key technical team of China Mobile Design Institute completed the business verification of various types of base stations through the return transmission of high-throughput satellites accessed by phased array antennas, laying a solid foundation for the follow-up "Leo satellite + base station" combination.
