CTOnews.com May 5 news, Hon Hai Technology Group announced today April revenue of 429.219 billion New Taiwan dollars (CTOnews.com remarks: currently about 96.574 billion yuan), down 11.77% year-on-year.

The company said it expects a decline in business in the second quarter due to a high base last year and a "seasonal low season" during the transition between old and new products.

In addition, Hon Hai said revenue fell 11.77% year-on-year in April due to weakness in its smart consumer electronics business and is expected to fall by a quarter this year.

Hon Hai's March revenue was NT $400.3 billion (currently about 90.067 billion yuan), down 21.11% year-on-year.

Hon Hai held a corporate presentation in March this year and looked forward to the six major axes of this year. Hon Hai Chairman Liu Yangwei said that the information and communication field should strengthen innovation and connect new businesses, maximize net profit per share, promote global layout and partner cooperation in the semiconductor field, and strengthen the layout of the third generation semiconductor.

In the field of electric vehicles, Liu Yangwei pointed out that expanding the layout of electric vehicles in North America and deepening the customer base, expanding cooperation with traditional and new car factories, in addition, there will be new progress in the battery field, assembly of components and models in the software field, layout of Internet of Vehicles infrastructure, layout of AR and VR glasses content and application.

Hon Hai electric vehicle strategy chief Guan Run also said in an interview recently that Hon Hai Group plans to produce electric vehicles priced at less than US $10,000 (currently about 69100 yuan).
