It also provides a good reference for the follow-up batch construction project of Hualong No.1.

Hualong No. 1 is a nuclear power innovation achievement of the third generation pressurized water reactor with completely independent intellectual property rights developed by China on the basis of more than 30 years of nuclear power research, design, manufacturing, construction and operation experience, and its technical index has reached the international advanced level. it is known as the most important weapon and national business card of the country.

The first global demonstration project of Hualong-1 was built on Fuqing in 2015, put into commercial operation in 2021, and fully completed in 2022.

Up to now, the cumulative safe power generation of 6 units of Fuqing nuclear power plant of CNNC has exceeded 2500 billion kilowatt-hours, and the emission reduction effect is equivalent to saving 78 million tons of standard coal consumption, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 200 million tons, and planting about 1.7 billion trees. Among them, the annual power generation of the two units of the Hualong No. 1 demonstration project in the world is 20 billion kilowatt-hours, equivalent to reducing standard coal consumption by 6.24 million tons, carbon dioxide emissions by 16.32 million tons, and afforestation by 140 million trees.
