CTOnews.com, May 4 (Xinhua)-- Motorola today launched Edge 40, the newest member of the Edge 40 series, with two materials to choose from: blue acrylic plastic and black or green artificial leather. The latter weighs 171g, while the former weighs only 167g, all of which have passed the IP68 waterproof and dustproof certification.

The Edge 40 uses the brand-new 6-nanometer process MediaTek Tianji 8020 chip, equipped with 8GB LPDDR4X memory, storage space for 256GB (UFS 3.1). On the screen side, the Edge 40 has a 6.55in 2400x1080 pixel OLED screen, supports the refresh rate of 144Hz, the touch sampling rate of 360Hz, and the maximum brightness of the HDR10+, up to 1200 nits, with dual stereo speakers on both sides of the screen, supporting Dolby panoramic sound technology.

On the camera side, the Edge 40's main camera has a 5000-megapixel 1-and-a-half-inch sensor and an optical anti-shake lens with an aperture of f / 1.4. The sensor can combine 4 in 1 pixels to get effective pixels of 2 microns. There is also a 1300-megapixel f / 2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens that supports macro. The machine also features a 3200-megapixel f / 2.4 selfie lens that supports autofocus.

The Motorola Edge 40 has a built-in 4400mAh battery that supports 68W wired fast charging (the charger comes with free) and 15W wireless charging. The new machine is on sale in Europe today and is available in three colors: star green, solar eclipse black (artificial leather) and moon blue (acrylic).
