Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com, May 4 (Xinhua) according to a survey of 1003 Americans by market research firm Secure Data Recovery, 82 percent of respondents said they had snooped into other people's mobile phones or computers.

The motive for snooping is also telling. The report data show that 59% are in conventional curiosity and 56% are suspected of misconduct.

Most people claim that the purpose of their snooping is to check chat messages, including text messages, e-mails, social media private messages, etc. Respondents said they were curious about what their partners, friends and family members said to others and wanted to know what they thought.

Fifty-three percent of snooping found bad things, such as evidence of partner infidelity, digital flirting and cheating.

More than 1/3 of the reports did not feel any regret or remorse after snooping, suggesting that they may feel rational or approve of such snooping.
