CTOnews.com May 4 news, AMD CEO Su Zifeng said at the first quarter of 2023 earnings conference, AMD has artificial intelligence (AI) as the first strategic focus, Instinct MI300 accelerator can help the company occupy the market.

CTOnews.com translated part of Su Zifeng's speech as follows:

We are confident and excited about our AI capabilities. AI is currently our No. 1 strategic priority and we are actively working with all our customers to bring joint solutions to market.

These include the upcoming Insight MI300 GPU, Ryzen 7040 series processors with Ryzen AI, Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC chips, Data Center Accelerator LVO V70, Adaptive Data Center Platform Versal AI and related SoCs.

AMD says AI creates a broader market than the cloud, and its flagship Instinct MI300 accelerator meets all the requirements of AI and HPC /supercomputing ecosystems.

AMD said it will drive and accelerate work related to AI software and the entire generative AI platform through its subsidiary Xilinix, with Instinct MI300 to be delivered to the first AI customers in Q4 2023.
