CTOnews.com, May 4 (Xinhua)-- Google's mysterious new system Fuchsia is quietly spreading to more devices. As a non-Linux alternative to Android, Fuchsia has been gradually promoted on Google's own smart displays, first the first generation of Nest Hub, and then Nest Hub Max.

Unsurprisingly, Google has quietly updated Fuchsia into Nest Hub (2nd Gen), the third device running the operating system, which means it is about to become a general operating system for Google's smart displays.

Google confirmed to 9to5Google that they had updated the firmware of the latest generation of Nest Hub. If you have signed up for the Google preview plan, you should receive an update to this version soon; if not, the new version will be available as soon as you finish testing.

It is reported that this update is initially available only to a small number of users who participate in the preview program, and may not notice any difference after the update. This is because Google tries to make Fuchsia systems the same as Linux-based Cast OS systems as much as possible, thus keeping the core experience the same.

This means that the new Fuchsia-based interface looks similar to Linux-based Cast OS's UI, but there are still significant improvements in daily experience, including faster screen speeds, and Fuchsia is more secure than Cast OS, which means that Google's smart displays will be better protected against cyber attacks.

CTOnews.com warned that Nest Hub is still in grayscale testing and is expected to be pushed and upgraded step by step in the future. Of course, this is only the first step in Google Fuchsia's general-purpose operating system, which is expected to run on a variety of devices in the future.
