CTOnews.com, May 4 (Xinhua)-- Google also plans to follow the Twitter social platform by enabling a ticked blue mark in its email service Gmail, indicating that its account has undergone stringent authentication.

Google says this authentication will help improve the security of the Gmail platform and will build on the existing BIMI (message Identification Brand indicators) review system. Brands that have passed BIMI certification can show their avatars in email.

Google says it can help users identify messages from legitimate senders and impostors by adding a blue tick around BIMI senders.

According to the sample pictures shared by Google, verify that the badge is a blue icon with a white check mark in the middle. When hovering over it, it indicates that the sender has verified the logo in their domain and profile image.
