CTOnews.com, May 3, Indiedroid Nova is a newly released single board computer that looks a lot like Raspberry Pi 4, but with a higher-performance processor, a slightly different set of ports, and a higher price.

The Indiedroid Nova single board computer starts at $145 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 1003 yuan) and includes a full-body radiator, fan and eMMC storage kit.

The Indiedroid Nova single board computer is equipped with Ruixin micro RK3588S chip. The processor has four ARM Cortex-A76 CPU cores, four Cortex-A55 cores, ARM Mali-G610 graphics, a video processing unit that supports decoding up to 8K / 60fps and a neural processing unit, which is as high as the AI performance of 6TOPs.

Entry-level models will be equipped with 4GB's LPDDR4x memory and 32GB's eMMC 5.1 storage, but manufacturers also support memory and 8GB storage as low as 1GB, as well as LPDDR5x memory up to 32GB and eMMC storage for 128GB.

The device also has BL-M88821 WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 modules and supports a 5V / 3A power supply connected to the computer's USB-C port.

The body size of Indiedroid Nova is 85mm x 56mm, which is similar to that of Raspberry Pi and can be used as a substitute, but the software ecology is different.

Indiedroid Nova single board computers can run a wide range of software, such as desktop GNU / Linux distributions, including Arch, Debian, Ubuntu, Armbian, and Devuan, as well as more specialized operating systems such as Batocera (for game console emulation) and Kali (for security research and ethical hacking).
