CTOnews.com, May 2 (Xinhua)-- Neato, a floor-sweeping robot company acquired by Vorwerk in 2017, has officially announced that it will withdraw from the market after years of sales falling short of "self-set economic targets."

CTOnews.com found that, in fact, Neato has shown signs of "closing down" since a few weeks ago. Its user login page began to fail, official Facebook and Twitter accounts disappeared, and customer service staff stopped responding.

As for the user login problem, Vorwerk said it is currently in the process of fixing it. But according to them, this has nothing to do with the shutdown of Neato.

Neato, a floor-sweeping robot company, was founded in 2005 and quickly became a major competitor to iRobot overseas. After being acquired by Vorwerk, it remained independent, but encountered financial difficulties, and the subsequent restructuring did not turn the company around. In recent years, with the rise of a number of floor-sweeping robot brands, Neato's living space is getting smaller and smaller, and finally choose to quit.
