CTOnews.com, May 2, according to Tom Henderson, a well-known whistleblower, Sony is working on a PS5 Pro version, which will be released at the end of 2024 and the development kit will be sent to developers soon.

Henderson reported in March that Sony was working on a PS5 Pro version, saying that the console would be similar to the PS4 Pro version with stronger performance. He published an article on the Insider Gaming website at the time, but gave no further details.

Since then, Henderson has claimed that Sony is working on other new hardware, including Q-Lite handsets and PS5 Slim versions. However, none of the new hardware has been officially confirmed by Sony, so it is uncertain whether the Henderson information is accurate.

Today, Henderson posted another article on the Insider Gaming website, saying that the PS5 Pro version is under development within Sony, and that the development kit will be sent to first-tier studios in the next few months, and third-tier studios will also receive development kits by the end of this year.

Henderson's article concluded by reiterating the release date of the PS5 Pro version-the fourth quarter of 2024.

"Insider Gaming is 100% sure that the PS5 Pro version is currently under development," the Henderson article wrote. "although we cannot disclose further details at this time, we understand that the first development kit prototypes will be sent to first-line studios in the next few months and will be received by third-line studios by the end of this year," he added. "

With regard to these reports and rumors, CTOnews.com advises everyone to treat them with caution. However, Henderson has proved that his revelations are quite reliable in the past. Sony's PS4 Pro version was released in 2016, three years after the regular PS4 version was released, while the current PS5 version (digital and CD-ROM) was launched in November 2020.
