CTOnews.com, May 2, Microsoft has been upgrading its Microsoft Teams conferencing software to not only chat with colleagues online, but also choose 3D avatars or use interesting Snapchat filters. Today, Microsoft introduced a new way to pay during Teams meetings.

Microsoft's official blog announced that a public preview version of the Microsoft Teams Payment app is now available. Users can view the payments received in the application and even the payments that may still be outstanding in the future. Microsoft explains as follows:

"for example, lawyers or financial advisers can charge for consulting appointments, real estate lecturers can charge fees for license renewal meetings, or teachers can charge fees for tutoring courses-all at the same time as clients interact with them."

The Teams Payments application download address is attached to CTOnews.com, which is currently only applicable to residents of the United States and Canada, as well as Teams Essentials subscribers and Microsoft 365 business users. The app currently supports online payments through PayPal and Stripe, but will be expanded to support domain name registrant GoDaddy in the near future.
