CTOnews.com reported on May 2 that BYD sold 210295 new energy vehicles in April, compared with 106042 in the same period last year, an increase of about 98.3 percent over the same period last year. BYD sold 761271 new energy vehicles this year, compared with 391271 in the same period last year, an increase of about 94 per cent year-on-year.

In April this year, BYD's production of new energy vehicles reached 209448, compared with 107478 in the same period last year, an increase of about 94.88% over the same period last year. This year's cumulative production reached 776631, an increase of about 96.61% over the same period last year.

In addition, BYD sold a total of 14827 new energy passenger vehicles overseas in April 2023, and the installed capacity of power batteries and energy storage batteries of new energy vehicles in April was about 9.954 GWh,2023 and the total annual installed capacity was about 36.945 GWh.

BYD sold 207080 new energy vehicles in March, with a cumulative sales of 552076 this year, an increase of 92.81 per cent over the same period last year.

BYD sold 193655 new energy vehicles in February, compared with 88300 in the same period last year; it sold 345000 vehicles this year, up 90.13% from a year earlier.

BYD sold 151341 new energy vehicles in January, an increase of 58.6 percent over the same period last year.
