According to the public information obtained by CTOnews.com, the main line of the project is 12.1km long, including an undersea tunnel, a mountain tunnel, an underwater interchange and four interchanges on land. Among them, the subsea tunnel is 5.1 kilometers from Dalian Barracuda Bay in the north to Dalian Donggang Business District in the south. It is the first large-scale cross-sea immersed tube tunnel in northern China.

Dalian Bay Cross-Harbour Tunnel is a curved tunnel with radians. at the bottom of the sea with a maximum depth of 30 meters, 18 immersed tubes with an average weight of 55000 tons are connected from end to end, and the installation accuracy is controlled within 3 mm. It is said that Dalian Bay Cross Harbour Tunnel is also a curved immersed tube tunnel with the smallest curve radius and the largest curvature in China.

In view of the low temperature problem in the north, the builders successfully developed 100-year durable high-performance marine concrete in cold areas, which fully meets the 100-year service life of the main body of the tunnel under cold water, and successfully fills the gap in the industry.

As an urban expressway, the Dalian Bay Cross Harbour Tunnel has six two-way lanes, with a speed limit of 60 kilometers per hour and a daily maximum traffic volume of about 50,000 sets, providing strong support for the rapid flow of people and logistics in the north and south main urban areas of Dalian.

The world's leading construction technology has laid the foundation for the completion of the tunnel, and the intelligent management system protects the opening and operation of the tunnel.

The tunnel is located at a depth of 30 meters, but it can still guarantee a full 5G signal. In addition, the artificial intelligence submarine lighting system is used here, which achieves the timely adjustment of tunnel lighting and natural light through the cooperation of LED energy-saving light and intelligent light monitoring. According to reports, this "undersea long queue" only lighting lamps and lanterns have used more than 10,000 sets, laying circuits with a total length of 420000 meters.
