CTOnews.com April 30 news, April 28, Sony released financial results for the fourth quarter and full year of fiscal 2022. In the fourth quarter, Sony's sales were 3.0636 trillion yen (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 155.937 billion yuan), up 35% from a year earlier; operating profit was 128.5 billion yen (currently about 6.541 billion yuan), down 7% from a year earlier; and net profit belonging to Sony Group shareholders was 128.2 billion yen, up 15% from a year earlier.

In the financial results, Sony made it clear that it will continue to launch more PC games. Sony said revenue under the "other" category had almost doubled from fiscal 2021, including revenue from first-party games other than consoles and peripherals, including the PlayStationVR, which has been sizeable in the past two fiscal years.

"our goal is to continue to create new IP, launch existing games on the PC platform, and strengthen the promotion of long-term / live / cloud gaming services."

From April 2022 to March 2023, Sony launched "Marvel Spider-Man: replica", "linen Adventure", "Spider-Man: miles Morales", "death return" and "the Last Survivor" on PC.

However, after the launch of the PC version of "the Last Survivor", the word of mouth is not very good. Naughty dogs are also working hard to release updates, hoping to reverse the player's reputation. On the other hand, Sony's overall strategy of launching more PS first-party games on the PC platform seems to be going well.
