CTOnews.com, April 28 (Xinhua)-- Google recently released a report on "bad applications" in 2022, saying that it banned 173000 developer accounts last year, prevented fraudulent and abusive transactions of more than $2 billion (CTOnews.com Note: about 13.86 billion yuan currently), and prevented 1.43 million apps that violated relevant policies from entering Play Store.

"We improved security, enhanced policies and increased disclosure of machine learning systems in 2022, further combing and improving the application review process," the Google security team said.

Google works with software development kit (SDK) providers to restrict access to and share sensitive data and ensure better "privacy protection" for more than 1 million apps in the official Android store.

In contrast, Google uneasily blocked 1.2 million apps that violated the policy in 2021, disabled 190000 accounts associated with malicious and spam developers, and closed about 500000 inactive or abandoned developer accounts.
