BYD's revenue in the first quarter reached 120.2 billion yuan, up 79.83 percent from the same period last year, while its net profit was 4.13 billion yuan, up 410.89 percent from the same period last year.

According to data released by BYD, cumulative sales from January to March this year reached 552076, while BYD aims to sell 3 million new energy vehicles in 2023, an increase of 1.14 million compared with 2022. To achieve this goal, BYD needs to guarantee average sales of more than 817000 vehicles in the remaining three quarters of this year.

According to the first quarter report, BYD spent 6.238 billion yuan on research and development and 4.648 billion yuan on marketing this quarter.
