Among these non-fossil energy sources, grid-connected solar power generation is 430 million kilowatts, grid-connected wind power is 376 million kilowatts, hydropower and other non-fossil energy sources are 524 million kilowatts. The installed capacity of wind power, photovoltaic and hydropower all ranks first in the world. At the same time, the power generation of non-fossil fuels also continued to rise in the first quarter, up 8.9% from the same period last year, accounting for 33.6% of the total electricity generation, an increase of 1.6 percentage points over the same period last year.

CTOnews.com noted that the guidance on Energy work 2023 issued by the National Energy Administration recently proposed that the proportion of installed non-fossil energy power generation would increase to about 51.9% this year, and that wind power and photovoltaic power generation accounted for 15.3% of the electricity consumption of the whole society. According to the guidance, great efforts will be made to develop wind power and solar power this year. The guidance also mentions the need to put energy supply and price stability in the first place. By the end of 2022, the country's full-caliber power generation capacity was 2.56 billion kilowatts, of which non-fossil energy generation capacity was 1.27 billion kilowatts, accounting for about 49.6 percent of the total installed power generation capacity.
