CTOnews.com, April 27 (Xinhua) as Twitter's CEO, Musk not only has a main account with hundreds of millions of fans, but also has at least two secret accounts.

One of them is @ e, a very rare and sought-after one-letter user name with the display name "John Utah". It is said that Musk used his power to forcibly take it from the original users after buying Twitter. The other is @ ErmnMusk, which was recently discovered by a self-proclaimed designer of dog coins and drew a response from Musk himself.

According to Platformer, the @ e account originally belonged to a user who spoke on condition of anonymity who had been hacked and blocked because of this high-value user name. He didn't want to give up the account, but after Musk bought Twitter last year, Twitter contacted him and said Musk wanted the account and gave him some compensation. He felt he had no choice but to say yes.

CTOnews.com noted that the @ e account has not posted any tweets so far, but has only followed three users: Musk himself, NASA and LAist. The account was created in November 2022 and currently has 1908 followers.

Musk's other @ ErmnMusk account was discovered on Monday. On the same day, Musk shared a screenshot on his main account showing Twitter's subscription function, which allows creators to provide exclusive content to paying fans. In the screenshot, however, it was noticed that Musk had logged on to another account, with a picture of a child with a silver toy rocket. Soon after, a netizen named Hurt CoPain found the account and disclosed its user name and nickname.

Musk didn't deny it, but replied: "you'll never guess this is me!" However, netizens will not easily let go of such clues, some people found that the @ ErmnMusk account followed seven female pop stars and suspected that it was Musk's personal hobby. Others think that Musk may have more secret accounts, and suggested that Twitter strengthen supervision.

There are several possible explanations for why Musk uses secret accounts. One is that he wants to test new features of Twitter or look for vulnerabilities on the platform; the other is that he wants to observe what other people think of him and his company; and that he just wants to play.
