Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens OC_Formula, Navi21, Hello _ Rabbit, South China Daniel Wu's clue delivery! CTOnews.com April 27 news, AMD sharp dragon 7000X3D series processors have recently been exposed the risk of burnout due to voltage problems, a number of motherboard manufacturers have launched BIOS updates to solve this problem.

In response, AMD issued a statement to foreign media Anandtech yesterday that the company is aware of the problem and is investigating, while AMD is asking motherboards and ODM suppliers to ensure that the device firmware / BIOS runs the Ruilong 7000X3D processor within the correct voltage tolerance. The statement also called on affected users to contact AMD after-sales support.

We have noticed a small number of reports online that excessive voltage during overclocking may damage motherboard slots and pins. We are actively investigating the situation and working with our ODM partners to ensure that the voltage BIOS settings applied to Ruilong 7000X3D CPU through the motherboard are in line with product specifications. Any CPU users who may be affected by this issue should contact AMD customer support.

CTOnews.com previously reported that several motherboard partners had launched BIOS updates before AMD's announcement, and some even removed older versions of BIOS from the site. The new firmware strictly limits the core voltage of CPU and prevents voltage-assisted overclocking. Some companies, such as MSI, have even introduced new automatic overclocking modes that enhance PBO-based performance adjustments without exceeding the voltage limit set by AMD.
