CTOnews.com, April 27, Microsoft recently reported a net profit of $18.3 billion for the third quarter of fiscal 2023 ended March 31, up 9 percent from a year earlier. Microsoft said sales of Xbox hardware fell 30 per cent year-on-year in the current quarter due to an increase in production of game consoles last year.

Microsoft said revenue from its games business fell 4 per cent from a year earlier, with revenue from Xbox content and services up 3 per cent year-on-year.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella (Satya Nadella) revealed that game subscription revenue this quarter was close to $1 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 6.93 billion yuan) due to the expansion of Game Pass in 40 new countries and regions.

Microsoft has launched PC Game Pass services in 40 new countries, including many in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. So far, Game Pass services are available in 86 countries, and Microsoft is trying to expand its subscription services beyond the mainframe.
