CTOnews.com, April 27, 9to5Mac @ ianzelbo has drawn a new iPhone 15 Pro rendering based on its sources, details from MFi accessory manufacturers, and CAD data, consistent with previous revelations, with two significant external changes.

Several sources have mentioned that Apple's new iPhone 15 Pro series will be equipped with special "touch buttons", and 9to5Mac has also obtained this information through MFi manufacturers.

Unfortunately, it was reported a few weeks ago that the new long "touch button" had been abandoned and replaced by a more traditional volume button because of production problems. The CAD file obtained by 9to5Mac today also confirms this change, but the previously mentioned "mute button" will be retained.

On the left side of the ▲ is the iPhone 15 Pro and on the right is the iPhone 14 Pro. Unlike the expected solid-state button, Apple seems to be returning to the traditional independent volume button design. However, there will also be a major change in the iPhone 15 Pro this year, and that is the new mute button.

This button replaces the mute switch used in iPhone 14 Pro, and it will add additional functionality, similar to the action button on Apple Watch Ultra.

It is important to note that in order to distinguish the iPhone 15 Pro series from the 15 basic models, Apple's iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will stick to their existing switch designs.

On the other hand, the iPhone rear lens bulge in the latest render is much more reasonable than the previous one. Although this year's camera will still be more convex, it is far less exaggerated than before.

According to current revelations, the Apple iPhone 15 Pro series will feature a 48MP outsole camera similar to the iPhone 14 Pro series, and will introduce a new periscope zoom lens that can achieve 5-6x optical zoom (CTOnews.com Note: iPhone 14 Pro up to 3x optical zoom), so it is understandable to be a little more convex.

In addition to showing the new mute button and rumors about the camera, the previous rendering of ▲ confirms many of the design details of the previous CAD model, such as the narrowed frame and the USB-C interface that everyone has in mind, and that the entire frame of the new machine will be much more rounded than the current iPhone 14 series.
