Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens Mo Yun and Yi 11, South China Daniel Wu for the delivery of clues! CTOnews.com, April 26 (Xinhua)-- LattePanda has released a Sigma single board computer, different from the usual clones such as raspberry pie, which runs an Intel processor and supports most major operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and even earlier versions of macOS. Thanks to the Arduino coprocessor, it can also be used to control sensors, motors, lights or other hardware.

The new LattePanda Sigma minicomputer, equipped with an Intel Core i5-1340p Raptor Lake processor and 16GB memory, starts at $579 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 4012 yuan).

Users can buy a LattePanda Sigma motherboard with an Intel 28W / 12-core 16-thread processor equipped with Iris Xe graphics cards, 80 execution units and 16GB LPDDR5-6400 memory.

Alternatively, users can buy a model with 500GB SSD solid-state storage and WiFi 6e support for $648 (currently about 4491 yuan).

All versions of the board are equipped with Arduino Leonardo-compatible ATmega32U4-MU coprocessors and a wide range of extension options, including four M.2 connectors for storage, connections, or other accessories:

1 x PCIe 4.0 M Key

1 x PCIe 3.0 M Key

1 x M.2 B Key (for storage or 4G / 5G cellular modules)

1 x M.2 E Key (for WiFi & BT module)

There is also a SATA connector that can be used for hard drives or SSD, and a COM interface that can be used for RS-232 or RS-485 peripherals.

All versions have a set of ports, including:

2 Thunderbolt 4 (40Gbps)

2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A (10Gbps)

2 x USB 2.0 Type-A (480Mbps)

2 2.5GbE Ethernet

1 HDMI 2.1x

1 x 3.5mm audio

The calculator board can support up to four monitors because, except for HDMI ports, each Thunderbolt port supports DisplayPort 1.4a alternating mode for @ 60Hz displays up to 7680 x 4320 resolution, and an eDP connector supports displays up to 120Hz, 4096 x 2304 resolution.

Other features include support for CR1220 3V real-time clock (real-time clock,RTC) batteries, TPM 2.0 security, and 20 GPIO ports.

LattePanda said the board was designed with a cooling system, including heat pipes and fans for active cooling. The system supports 19V / 4.7A DC power input, but also supports USB-C chargers up to 20V / 4.5A.

The LattePanda Sigma measures 146mm x 102mm (5.75in x 4in), much bigger than the raspberry pie (and even a little bigger than the Intel NUC Pro motherboard).
