CTOnews.com, April 26, according to the Global Electric vehicle Outlook 2023 just released by the International Energy Agency (IEA), global sales of pure electric plus plug-in models exceeded 10 million last year, an increase of 55% over 2021, with China accounting for 60% of sales.

This figure exceeds the total car sales in the European Union (about 9.5 million units) and is almost half of China's total car sales in 2022.

It is said that the global stock of electric vehicles on the road exceeds 26 million in 2022, an increase of 60 per cent over 2021.

The International Energy Agency predicts that global electric vehicle sales are expected to reach nearly 14 million in 2023 and have a penetration rate of nearly 20 per cent.
