The ship was built by Jiangnan Shipbuilding for Singapore PETREDEC Company. It is the fourth generation VLGC boutique ship (Panda 93p) independently developed and designed by Jiangnan Shipbuilding. The ship has a total length of 230m, a width of 36.6m and a service speed of 16.5km. it adopts the fourth generation patented linetype (VS-Bow MK-IV) and has excellent and balanced performance under the loading conditions of full load, ballast and different proportion of liquid cargo.

This type of ship is a typical "three high" (high-tech, high-difficulty, high value-added) ship type in the global shipbuilding market, which has been monopolized and blocked by Japanese and Korean shipbuilding enterprises for a long time. In order to break this situation, after more than ten years of painstaking efforts to tackle key problems, Jiangnan Shipbuilding has realized the continuous innovation in the research and development, design and construction of VLGC, filled the historical gap in the field of VLGC in one fell swoop, greatly enhanced China's voice in the field of VLGC, and formed a "China Jiangnan type" VLGC brand with independent intellectual property rights.

At present, 93000 cubic meter VLGC is the largest VLGC ship type in the world. It has a strong competitive advantage in ship performance for the same type of products at home and abroad: the rudder ball energy-saving device technology of independent research and innovation design is applied for the first time, which makes the rapidity of the ship ahead of the international advanced level; for the first time, the national production of low temperature steel is realized, and the procurement cycle is greatly reduced. The capacity of the shipborne cargo tank is upgraded, the net weight of the structure is increased by only 250t, which can ensure the overall hoisting of the tank; the fuel life reaches 23000 nautical miles, the fuel consumption and gas consumption level leads the international level, and meets the latest NOx TierIII and SOx emission requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), while meeting the EEDI3 emission requirements. Although it was the "first birth", the ship's construction team still made many breakthroughs and set new records: it realized the first "three-in-one" trial of Jiangnan shipbuilding in the history of LPG tanker construction, that is, conventional trials, gas trials and gas tests were completed at one time, which means that the ship can be put into operation after delivery.

Jiangnan Shipbuilding named this type of ship after National Treasure Panda (Panda), and according to its loading capacity as "PANDA 83p / 84p / 86p / 93p". After continuous development in recent years, VLGC has become the main brand of Jiangnan shipbuilding, and has been widely recognized and praised by domestic and foreign mainstream shipowners in the international market. Since the first breakthrough in 2012, we have taken a total of 52 orders, of which 18 have been ordered for 93000 cubic meters of ships. At present, Jiangnan Shipbuilding has a global market share of 24.7% in the VLGC shipbuilding industry, leading the world VLGC market.
