On April 26, Beijing time, Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) today released its results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2023, which ended on March 31. According to the results, according to GAAP, Microsoft's total revenue in the third quarter was $52.857 billion, up 7% from $49.36 billion in the same period last year and 10% at a fixed exchange rate. Net profit was $18.299 billion, up 9% from $16.728 billion in the same period last year, and 14% at a fixed exchange rate.

Third quarter results highlights:-- Total revenue was $52.857 billion, up 7% from $49.36 billion in the same period last year, and 10% at a fixed exchange rate

-- operating profit was $22.352 billion, up 10% from $20.364 billion in the same period last year, and 15% at a fixed exchange rate.

-- net profit was US $18.299 billion, up 9% from US $16.728 billion in the same period last year, and 14% at fixed exchange rates.

-- diluted earnings per share were $2.45, up 10% from $2.22 in the same period last year, and 14% at a fixed exchange rate.

Departmental results:-- Productivity and business process revenue for the third quarter was $17.516 billion, up 11% from $15.789 billion in the same period last year and 15% at fixed exchange rates.

-- the revenue of the smart cloud division in the third quarter was $22.081 billion, up 16% from $18.987 billion in the same period last year and 19% at a fixed exchange rate.

More personal computing units had revenue of $13.26 billion in the third quarter, down 9 per cent from $14.584 billion in the same period last year and 7 per cent at a fixed exchange rate.
