Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com April 25 news, generative artificial intelligence has exploded recently, so should the patents generated by AI be legally recognized? The US Supreme Court recently refused to accept it, refusing to list AI as the inventor of the patent.

CTOnews.com Note: the incident dates back to 2020, when American artificial intelligence expert Dr. Stephen L. THALER developed a system called DABUS, which uses neural networks to allow the AI to generate and create patents.

DABUS has independent thinking and creative ability similar to that of the human brain. Through its internal storage of a large amount of data and intelligent computing system similar to the human brain, DABUS can independently form new inventions and produce unexpected creative achievements.

The United States Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO) rejected the patent application filed by DABUS, so Dr. Taylor took it to court. The United States Supreme Court upheld USPTO's view and did not recognize patents generated by AI.
