CTOnews.com, April 25 (Xinhua)-- Epic Games's appeal against Apple has failed, according to Bloomberg. The appellate court upheld the original verdict and upheld Apple, arguing that Apple did not violate the antitrust law and was not a monopolist.

Epic Games began a long legal battle with Apple over the rules of App Store, triggered by the game "Fortnite" in 2020.

The court announced the verdict in 2021, finding that Apple did not violate the anti-monopoly law and was not a monopolist. Epic Games was not convinced and chose to appeal immediately, saying that the original trial court "got the wrong answer" and "made a number of legal mistakes".

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in the United States rejected Epic Games's complaint that App Store was not allowed to run third-party app stores and was suspected of violating anti-monopoly law, CTOnews.com reported, citing Bloomberg.
