At present, Sinopec has carried out the preparation of the national hydrogen corridor demonstration construction plan, screened the inter-provincial highways and provincial highways with market, scene and potential, and vigorously planned and laid out the construction of hydrogenation stations along the route.

The demonstration project of "transporting hydrogen from west to east" is the first trans-provincial, large-scale and long-distance pure hydrogen pipeline in China. When the pipeline is completed, it will meet the hydrogen demand of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

Experts said that the hydrogen pipeline has the advantages of large hydrogen capacity, low energy consumption and low cost, so it is one of the ideal solutions for large-scale and long-distance transportation of green hydrogen in the future. At present, the total mileage of hydrogen pipelines worldwide has exceeded 5000 km, and the construction of hydrogen pipelines in China is still in its infancy.

Hydrogen has unique properties such as high energy density and zero carbon emissions after combustion, so "hydrogen energy" has become an important direction of global energy transformation. Among them, hydrogen produced from renewable energy, that is, "green hydrogen", is considered to be the ultimate route of hydrogen energy development.

Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Energy Administration and other departments have issued relevant documents to speed up the development of China's green hydrogen industry. CTOnews.com found that some enterprises have begun to promote the production of green hydrogen production equipment for the demonstration project Xiaohu Island in Deyang, Sichuan Province, which produces hydrogen through proton exchange membrane electrolysis of water, which is more suitable for use in wind power photovoltaic projects. At present, the equipment has not been mass produced and the cost is relatively high. In order to speed up the mass production of this new type of green hydrogen equipment, the largest production base of proton exchange membrane water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment in Foshan, Guangdong Province, will be put into production at the end of April. According to industry insiders, the cost of preparing green hydrogen is expected to fall by 40% 50% within 3-5 years.
