Hospital staff also revealed that their salaries next month will be paid in digital RMB. CTOnews.com checked the relevant statistics and found that as of September 2022, more than 7000 stores in Changshu accepted digital RMB payments, with a cumulative transaction value of more than 70 million yuan. In terms of public application scenarios, 7042 enterprises in Changshu have opened digital RMB-to-public wallets and realized the digital distribution of a number of government funds and financial subsidies. Jiangsu Province has also issued the "Jiangsu Digital RMB pilot work Plan", which defines the key tasks and steps of carrying out digital RMB pilot projects in the province, and strives to reach the end of 2025 to form a digital RMB operation and management system with convenient and efficient services, wide application coverage and relatively perfect ecology. In addition to Changshu, Suzhou is promoting the use of digital RMB in many places, and some regions have begun to pilot the implementation of full salary digital RMB payment for public officials.
