CTOnews.com April 22, Samsung revealed that Samsung Display's new headquarters in Asan, South Korea is expected to be completed in the second half of 2024. Samsung celebrated Earth Day by announcing that 34% of the cement was recycled during the construction of its new headquarters.

Samsung says it has recycled 245000 tons of glass waste from the manufacturing process since 2008, enough to create a beach comparable to Pusan Haiyuntai.

Samsung shows that one ton of glass waste can be recycled into 0.8 tons of sand, and 20,000 tons of cement was recycled during the construction of Samsung's new headquarters, accounting for 34 percent.

CTOnews.com learned from the Samsung display press release that the production of OLED panels produces less glass waste than LCD panels, and Samsung shows that it will also improve the recovery rate of waste glass.
