The core of projector products is the light source, and the current home projector light source is divided into three major routes: traditional light bulb machine, LED light source and laser light source.

The advantages of the traditional light bulb machine are low cost, high brightness, but short service life, need to change the light bulb regularly, and the later use cost is high. This kind of projector is commonly used in our classroom when we were young.

LED light source technology now occupies the absolute market mainstream, compared with the traditional light bulb machine, LED light source has a long life, compact size and better color. However, laser projectors are also divided into two technical routes-monochromatic laser and tricolor laser.

The monochromatic laser has only one blue laser light source, and the red, green and blue tricolor is realized by "bombarding" the color wheel phosphor. After projected on the DMD chip, the projection display image is finally formed.

Of course, the disadvantages of monochromatic laser are also obvious. as a relative "compromise" between "high cost and practicality", red and green in monochromatic laser technology have not reached the ideal state in terms of color purity. there is still room for improvement in picture quality.

The tricolor laser uses red, green and blue laser as the light source, and the fluorescent color wheel component is cancelled in the structure, so the color performance is more excellent.

Trichromatic laser because the laser is the light source with the highest color purity in the world, the tricolor laser can restore the color closest to the real world after mixing and blending. This is also the biggest advantage of trichromatic laser technology over existing display technologies such as LED.

As a projector product of tricolor laser technology, Hisense Vidda C1S is equipped with Hisense LPU tricolor laser engine, which greatly improves the color performance of the image, with a color gamut of 110 BT.2020 and a color accuracy of Δ E ≈ 0.9.

First, the measured brightness is a very important parameter of the projector. Only with enough brightness can the rich and delicate colors be displayed.

Vidda C1S claims to have measured brightness of 1600 ANSI lumens, and the brightness measured by the new standard is also 1600CVIA lumens.

Some people may ask, does it mean that with Vidda C1S, you can watch at home without curtains during the day?

Here I need to give a clear reply, including Vidda C1S, any current home projector products, in fact, can not be used to watch scenes without curtains during the day, want to use projection instead of TV watching during the day, in fact, it will not work.

For example, at noon, when the sun shines directly on the living room, when the curtains are opened, the projected picture will still "fade", the contrast will decrease significantly, and the picture seems to be splashed with a layer of white paint, and no projector can understand it in this scene. Therefore, we want the projector to have a better display effect and create a dark environment as much as possible.

Friends who have the idea of "watching projection without drawing curtains during the day" actually hope to completely replace LCD TV with projection. But the author believes that this idea is actually a misunderstanding, projection and television are actually complementary, the two provide a completely different viewing experience and atmosphere. We buy projector products because we want to experience the cinema-like atmosphere as much as possible, but the cinema also provides a pure dark environment, right?

Second, the picture quality measured Vidda C1S is equipped with Hisense LPU tricolor laser engine and 0.47 "DMD micromirror chip with 4K ultra high definition resolution.
