On April 20, 2023, the 20th China analysts' conference "self-driving Network (ADN)" theme forum was held in Shenzhen. Well-known analysts and media people from home and abroad attended the meeting to learn about Huawei's business progress and development direction in the self-intelligent network industry. At the meeting, Huanghe, CTO of Huawei Public Development Department, put forward the "three accelerations" needed for the development of Huawei ADN aiming at moving towards L4 self-intelligent network.

Facing the 5.5G era, the network needs 10x performance improvement and 10x intelligence. One of the core strategies of Huawei 5.5G is to move from 2025 to ADN L4, which increases the efficiency of network operation and maintenance by 10 times, and enables the automation level of the network from L3 to L4.

The Yellow River said: "We will unswervingly increase investment in all aspects and adhere to the three principles of intelligent native, single-domain autonomy and cross-domain collaboration to build a self-driving network solution of 'network element-network-service' full-stack AI. At the same time, we call on the communications industry to make efforts in three aspects: intergenerational definition, standard-setting and business practice to accelerate the development of the industry."

One is to accelerate the self-intelligent network industry L4 / L5 intergenerational definition. It is necessary to jointly define the goal portrait of L4 / L5 network autonomy, define the intergenerational characteristics and effectiveness indicators of each scene, and improve the ability to effectively pull products and programs.

The second is to accelerate the standardization of intention API. Through business value and business traction, build a standardized interface of large-scale intention, speed up the transformation from capacity enhancement to commercial effectiveness, and enhance NaaS capabilities.

The third is to accelerate the landing of the practice of business scenes. Strengthen the collaboration between operators and vendors, focus on business scenarios and value effectiveness, accelerate the scale deployment of L3, and lay a good foundation for L4 in 2025.

As the initiator and practitioner of the concept of self-intelligent network, Huawei and its partners have continuously carried out ADN practice over the past three years, and achieved remarkable results in improving quality and income, increasing operation and maintenance efficiency, and green energy saving: the improvement rate of home width and user quality is 83%, the average repair market for each fault is shortened by more than 30 minutes, and the average energy saving of base station is more than 10%. Self-intelligent network is a long-term process. Huawei will continue to communicate and collide with the world's leading partners, deeply integrate digital technology and application scenarios, jointly create value for thousands of industries, and accelerate the development of L4 self-intelligent network.
