CTOnews.com April 21, Microsoft said in a recent press release that it has introduced the 129th language, Lower Sorbian, for the Microsoft Translator translation application. This is an endangered language and is currently spoken by less than 7000 people worldwide.

Sobu, also known as Wende, is the language of the Sobu people, an ethnic minority in southeastern Germany, and belongs to the West Slavic branch of the Slavic language family.

The language is divided into Upper Sobo language and Lower Sorb language, which is mainly distributed near Brandenburg in Germany. It is a critically endangered language spoken by less than 7000 people.

Microsoft announced its Translator Microsoft Azure Cognitive Service to further protect the language, supporting the translation of documents, web pages and other scenarios into the lower Sorb language.
